Westside Baptist and the event staff are committed to ensuring that YTH WKND goes as smoothly and safely as possible. As recommendations from health professionals shift one way or another, our policies may be adjusted slightly, so check back regularly for any updates.
As of now, we'll be asking anyone who's 1) recently been sick, 2) is showing symptoms, or 3) has been exposed to COVID-19 to stay home from YTH WKND. Refunds will be issued if anyone has to stay home for a COVID-19 related reason. We'll refer everyone to the CDC guidelines.
We'll be following state regulations, and in addition, we'll be asking that students and staff wear a mask whenever moving about indoors until they're in their assigned seats.
Students will be segmented off into small groups, host homes, and rec teams all weekend, so that no one student will be directly exposed to all 300-400 students. We'll be staggering meals and assigning seats in the worship center to help make this happen.
In host homes (limited to 10 students), students will not be required to wear a mask. Doing so would be impractical, as students will be eating and sleeping in the homes. Churches who are bringing their own group may apply stricter policies to their own groups, so see your youth leadership for more specifics.
It's better to make your payments earlier, so as to take advantage of lower prices. Our team can always refund you in the event of heightened concerns relating to COVID-19 should they arise after registering.
